o Samar Mezghani is the youngest writer in the World according to the Guinness Book of World Records.

o Selima Sfar is the first Tunisian ever to compete at the US Open and the first Arab woman to make it on the International Tennis circuit.

o In March 2000, Tunisian Scientist, Dr. Lotfi Ben Jaffel of the Institute of Astrophysics in Paris with his colleagues discovered the first evidence that the solar system's bow shock is in fact real.

o In August 1982, Rached Trimeche founded the International World Travellers Club (IWTC). The global cultural association chose Tunisia as its headquarters since its creation.

o On the 2nd of October 2004 the cyclist Rafaa Chtioui won silver in the junior men's world championships giving Tunisia its first ever medal at event. Chtioui also became the first African to win a medal at a road world championships.

o Oussama Mellouli won Tunisia's first global swim crown on the 9th of October 2004, capturing the 400-metre individual medley at the World Short Course Championship.
